hi my name is Rochelle and this is the first time that I'm posting. I am two years and five months postop from the gastric sleeve. I've lost a total of 86 pounds and recently put on 10 pounds. I'm trying to reach out to people to help me and support me during the struggle. I don't want to go back to being a fat girl again. I reached my goal but now I'm 10 pounds over please someone reach out

I've heard a lot of veterans on this site say you should go back to the beginning. Protein shakes and liquids then work your way back through pureed, soft mushies and solids just like when you first had the surgery. Thing is, you already know you CAN do it because you've done it before. This time you only have 10 pounds to lose...even if it is the hardest 10 pounds. LOL Good luck and you've come to the right place for support.

Hi Haleytrim,

Thanks for the encouragement. Quite honestly it will be too difficult for me to just be on Clear Liquids or Protein Shakes only. Let's face it, I'm way past that. Starting Monday I'm going to write down everything I put in my mouth and try to stay away from those carbs. I'm one of those ones count the calories is well. I know that's frowned upon but it used to work so well for me. I'm going to maintain a 1200 cal diet a day and that should help. What's your story? I don't know how to set this up for private conversation perhaps you can email me your information and we can talk on the phone?

Have a great Wednesday too! Sorry you're hungry all the time, I'm pretty much the same..and I'm sick of eating the same food all the time.

Well, tomorrow I go in for an impromptu hiatal hernia repair after ending up in the ER over the weekend because I couldn't get food down and water was moving at a trickle... I've been having these symptoms on and off for a few weeks but Sunday was the worst by far and came with chest pain and trouble breathing. The ER PA thinks it is just esophagitis and that the surgeon and radiologist are wrong. But the bariatric surgeon swears it is a hernia, possibly a sliding one based on my symptoms. So he fit me into his schedule this week to repair it! I hope he's right and this sorts it out. He's going to do a scope afterwards to be sure there is nothing wrong with the esophagus. Here's hoping it all goes well!!

Having gall bladder surgery in a few days and I so hope the recovery is easier than the one from the modified DS! I could use a bit of luck/pep talk for a change. I'm starting to be able to walk around without experiencing dizziness, but it would be great if the random pain in my chest and abdomen would go away!!
