3 months out an I gonna lose anymore

Recommended Posts

So I'm about three months post op and for the most part I eat good. Sometimes i slip up and eat stuff I shouldn't. I started at 276 now I'm 227. 30 year old male and I try to exercise hear and there. Last week I did 20 mins 3 days in a row on the elliptical machine. I've been kinda suck at this number and thinking I'm not going to lose anymore. My doctor said I'm right where I should be for how long ago my surgery was. 57 pounds down. I just feel like I'm not gonna lose anymore. Anyone else had this problem. What happened did you still lose. I hear some people say they don't even exercise and lose over 100 pounds. I'm 5'4" and probably should way around 160-180. If I hit 180 I would be shocked. Ok let the comments flow

During my 1st 12 months, I would hit a 1 week stall almost every month. More than once, I thought, "Is this it? Is this all I'm gonna lose?" It took a while, but I realised that if I just stuck to my diet plan and walking routine, the weight would start dropping again. But if I ate fruit or salty things like nuts, it would keep the Water weight on me.

I'd say add some strength training to your routine as well.

Still purging all of the larger clothing. This morning, a shirt that I ADORED wearing ended up on top. Hard to let it go, but it was also hard to let go of those habits that also no longer serve my highest good. Onward and upward!

Have a great Wednesday too! Sorry you're hungry all the time, I'm pretty much the same..and I'm sick of eating the same food all the time.

Well, tomorrow I go in for an impromptu hiatal hernia repair after ending up in the ER over the weekend because I couldn't get food down and water was moving at a trickle... I've been having these symptoms on and off for a few weeks but Sunday was the worst by far and came with chest pain and trouble breathing. The ER PA thinks it is just esophagitis and that the surgeon and radiologist are wrong. But the bariatric surgeon swears it is a hernia, possibly a sliding one based on my symptoms. So he fit me into his schedule this week to repair it! I hope he's right and this sorts it out. He's going to do a scope afterwards to be sure there is nothing wrong with the esophagus. Here's hoping it all goes well!!
