Bandster HE** ~ HOW LONG ?

Recommended Posts

How long did you spend in BANDSTER HE**. I would like to at least progress to purgatory. I have been in HE** since April 2012. The willpower is fading FAST. . . this feels so much like another "DIET" without restriction or being in the green zone . . . . UGH

4 months in hell and 1.5 months in Casper Wyo(Purgatory). How many fills for you? And, what are you eating? Have you spent some time with your dietician?

My lap band surgeon will ONLY fill every six (yes 6) weeks; I have gone to his office regularly since being banded and meet with my nutritionist every other visit; I am logging daily food intake on My Fitness Pal and I did join AnyTime Fitness . . . but I would like for the band to do its part ---> SOON

I got my first fill at 2 months. That offered me enough restriction to make it through 2 more months before the next fill. I was fortunate... I never really had bandster hell unless I all of a sudden I needed a fill and had to wait for an appointment.

I believe however that because I followed the portion sizes and counted calories my body got used to that amount of food and my body was satisfied even when i felt I needed restriction.

Like Floridays I never felt like I was in bandster hell. I focued on my portion sizes, eating protien first, bit sizes, chewing and not eating too fast. And I was fortunate to see a steady weight loss through the whole time. I guess I was lucky.

because i dont have any fills yet, i am def using my (mind want power) in eating only my allotted amounts and trying to stay focused on the big picture. i sometimes wish i had a fill but i see that as an insurance policy on my side...best of luck

Still purging all of the larger clothing. This morning, a shirt that I ADORED wearing ended up on top. Hard to let it go, but it was also hard to let go of those habits that also no longer serve my highest good. Onward and upward!

Have a great Wednesday too! Sorry you're hungry all the time, I'm pretty much the same..and I'm sick of eating the same food all the time.

Well, tomorrow I go in for an impromptu hiatal hernia repair after ending up in the ER over the weekend because I couldn't get food down and water was moving at a trickle... I've been having these symptoms on and off for a few weeks but Sunday was the worst by far and came with chest pain and trouble breathing. The ER PA thinks it is just esophagitis and that the surgeon and radiologist are wrong. But the bariatric surgeon swears it is a hernia, possibly a sliding one based on my symptoms. So he fit me into his schedule this week to repair it! I hope he's right and this sorts it out. He's going to do a scope afterwards to be sure there is nothing wrong with the esophagus. Here's hoping it all goes well!!
