I had a lap band in 2009, after initial success my band became fickle and I've had a couple rough years. The last month in particular was rough with terrible chest and neck pains any time I eat. On July 26 I was diagnosed with a slipped band, on July 27 I was scheduled for band removal and possible revision to RNY on August 1. Band removed on 8/1/12 with significant damage found so I was sent home for 6 months of healing time. RNY 2/11/13...doing fabulously. Easy recovery and slow slow slow weight loss but as long as I'm losing it's all golden!
