Thanks for all the help I am about 17-18 weeks and I think that I will get an unfill I have never gained more than 7 pounds with my past 2 pregnancies and I was not banded.. I am just so worried about the actual unfill and possible refill...

I am 4 months pregnant and my Dr. told me at my next visit in 3 weeks I had to get all my fill out. I have had this fill for 15 months and lost 100lbs.. It is a great fill. I have a tipped port and it takes a very long time to get the needle in, I really want it left alone. Last fill under x-ray 1 hour. They are worried when the baby gets bigger I won't be able to eat. I think I could, if I had to get all my nutrition from liquids, proteins and so forth. Help? Am I being selfish or vain about this??? I really don't want to gain all the weight back that has taken me so long to loose I still have a long way to go.. p.s. Eventhough my Dr hasn't had any children recently( past 20 years )she does have a band...

I take them everyday and that has never been a problem. I have 2.5 in a 4cc band,, I am really restricted 1/4 cup and a 1/2 cup absolute max.. So I say try it if it gets stuck it will get unstuck eventually.. I actually do not think it will... but you never know..

I think that it sad that people feel like that they have to do that.. But I also think that it is sad that some insurances say that you have to be 100lbs over weight before they will give you surgery. So I am not sure what I would do.. If I only needed to gain 10-20 more lbs I might cheat I know people who have put on alot of weight to get it.. I think if that is truly the only thing holding you back maybe? but the people who go and get it with only 40 lbs or less to loose so that they look like a model in a swimsuit I think that is selfish and sad. I do not think that this surgery is for someone who does not need it. Someone who needs to loose weight or has health issues then yes but for vanity no!

I was wondering how much should we really weigh to be healthy... Is it on the BMI scale.. I have had a nuutritionist weigh me on one of the scales that tells you how much your bones and organs weigh and then they come up with an ideal weight for you..and your frame???I am 5'9" tall and lets say I am not petite or tall and thin even thin?? I have really large bones . Does it matter?? should everyone that is 5'9" weigh 145-165 or is there exceptions.. I would like to know how tall you are, what size you want to be and what you think you would weigh?? or tell me those of you who are happy with were you are and brave how tall, weight, and size?Thanks in advance..

I want to have a baby and last time I had one I weighed 307 when I got preg and 315 when I delivered he weighed 9 14 go figure but I never lost an ounce after I left the hospital 2 days after a c-section at 315 you said that you were 7 months and 265 my docotor wants me to be under 250 do you feel good with this pregnancy?? do you think that the weight you are is good?? IT Really help to hear others you see alot of people that are not that big when they start so within a short amount of time they are thin, my aunt had it the same day as me and she 190 and so she is now like 140 she is short but I think that she is like a 12. I get bummed.. Although I am not looking to be 150 pounds only like 200-215 so I guess when you look at it like that I only have 80 more pounds....

:hungry: Tell me if you were over 300lbs or close to when you were banded??? let me hear your story I was 340 when I got banded in January and I have had a rough go I am so depressed and tired all the time... Anyhow I weighed 292 today which is up 4lbs from last week! I feel the same I wear the same size as I did before the band! I would love to hear you success... and how long it took..

welll I had the same exact think happen to me and it is hard because not only are you being axamined by everyone else but my mom had the surgery the same day and she has lost 70 pound I have only lost 40 I gain and loose and it has become hard. I have people walk up and ask me if I have lost weight, to which I reply NO! but it is about you and something that you are doing for yourself not anyone else you will feel much better when you are finished and disregard anyone else. I think you should let your mom know just how much she hurt you and anyone else that this is private and they should not tell.

I think that it will be fine I do not drink personally but the Dominican is full of fresh fruit and vegetables, sea food that is low is fat and calories and I think that if you are active and drink lots of water along with whatever else your gonna be great.. let us know.

I think that it will become a national epidemic and I think that anyone with a real weight struggle will have the surgery. which I think is great, it helps you loosae weight and help you learn when you are full without starving and little complications and one day they will have it all down with out slippage and stuff..as far as Oprah anyone with a weight problem has to have looked into surgery I think one day she will do it. as far as the rags they usually end up being true! i hate to say that but look at Nick and Jessica, Anna Nicole, and All the pregnant people that said they weren't and just delivered..

I see that you have a thing that says mom and daughter banded?? my mom and I got banded on the same day! along with my aunt and cousin.

think that there are alot of risk from the band but I am not sire that there are very many if any that are life threatning it is surgery, I know people personally that had bypass and died. If you are looking for a WLS I think that band surgery is the most minimually invasion and lowest risk of complications.. You are close to MExico so you could save alot of money and I am sure that DR. KURI in Mexico is one of the best in the world he did not do mine becuase of cost but,, I really think that you should look really hard into banding,,I also know people that have strached there pouch with bypass and have regained the weight. There is also vitamin deficiancy and massive other risks with the BYPASS..
