  1. I will be starting my 2 week pre-op diet, and I am wondering if anyone can give me product idea's that got you through it. I am just going to have a shelf to myself and probably hibernate in my room for 2 weeks out side of work. Want to reset my kitchen to make it as user friendly as possible!!!
  2. I am on Day 10 of 14 of my liquid pre-op diet. I have to say it has been a little hard at times, but not what I thought. That is until today.. I ran to post office (before I ate lunch) for work, and I was so hungry. All it took was one smell of Mc D's salty crispy French fries, and I cheated. I let myself down, and indulged. 1 day before my pre-op appt. What the heck was I thinking. I have some scared feeling in my mind the Dr. will know the minute I walk in. I have lost 13.8 lbs so far, but I just know that value meal is going to give me away like the metal detector in the airport if you were smuggling something dangerous in.

    Looking for March surgery buddies!

I have 11 days left. I am on day 3 and I seem to be doing ok. I am craving some cheese today. It's really hard to find things besides broth/jello/protein shakes/popsicles. The only savory thing I have found is a cream of chicken Lipton packet that you mix with Water. I really like it, but no Protein value in it at all

    Looking for March surgery buddies!

Are you doing a liquid pre-op diet also? I am on day 3 and I am doing ok, I am craving cheese today. I love cheese, so I am not surprised. Can't wait for the 6th!!
  5. I am finishing up my shopping this weekend and will start my pre-op diet on Monday. I tried to mimic a day today and was fine until about 2 o'clock. Honestly it was having greek yogurt for Breakfast and lots of Water and sugarfree Jello. I am going to have to really focus on eating a little something every couple of hours.
  6. I feel optimistic that I will be fine. I know that when I HAVE to complete something to get to surgery, I have worked my butt off. I would hope this pre op diet will be no different. I thank God that I have my husband and family/friends supporting me!!! I love that I stumbled on this website...I feel great knowing other people are in the stage I am in...Thank you for your supporting comments!! What day are you on for your pre op diet?

Do you have to do a pre-op diet?
  8. I have been telling everyone that I am afraid of the Pre-op diet more than surgery and post op. I am scared with out the tool of the surgery and how that is going to help me stay focused, that I am going to cheat on PO diet. I am addicted to my routine which involves a glass of wine/beer at around 8pm and a snack before bed. HORRIBLE I know, but it has been mine and my husbands routine for last 5+ years...I feel like that will be so hard to break! I am going to do it, believe me...but it's going to suck

    Central Texas Support?

I live in New Braunfels TX. I will be having surgery 3/6/17. I would love to join a support group here in New Braunfels, or San Marcos. I am not sure how to find one. My surgeon is over by Sea World in SA, so it is not as convenient to drive 40 miles to go to a support group. Any idea's?

    Looking for March surgery buddies!

I have my surgery date of 3/6/17. I am trying to cope with this one day at a time. I start scaring myself if I think about the pre-op diet being 2 weeks long...I don't have a food addiction, I have a routine addiction. Breaking the routine of my night/Days will be the hardest. I joined this Bariatric Pal in hopes of some new idea's and support.
