JULY SLEEVERS- How are you doing?

I was sleeved July 25th and today is my 4 week mark and I've felt great honestly. All my incisions have healed tremendously well and I'm down 37 pounds as of today - feeling extremely ecstatic about that. I have no issues with the solid stage - I am a vegetarian so no issues with any foods being caught since I am strictly plant based. Wishing everyone the best of luck Sleeved on July 26, 2017
  2. So Ive been browsing the site and replied to many others with well wishes and finally my day is here on Wednesday, July 26th! I am just sooo excited that I can't contain it internally. I am literally salivating at the thought of the losers bench; the extra energy; the lighter body to finally hold a plank for 2+ minutes; easier push ups; easier stair climbing the treacherous NYC subway stairs. Just can't wait for life to finally be grand! And one NSV - I will finally since the age of 12 not have to go to the "Plus Sized" department!!! My pre-op diet with my surgeon is only required for 2 days but I will start it on Sunday instead. All clear liquids only - no protein shakes nor meals. May be tough but it will surely be worth it. Are their any potential sleeves for July 26th as well. Would be great to encourage one another. [emoji3][emoji1437]

    The Day is almost here!!!

Just wanted to provide an update. Today is exactly 4 weeks since my surgery date. As of today I weigh 283 pounds. From the 1st day of clear liquids to now I have lost a total of 37 pounds within 32 days. Totally excited about my progress. I did not exercise as of yet in a gym. I have walked daily though and considering I live in NYC - we walk everywhere so it wasn't hard to do. But, I will see how my second month comes along as I will incorporate a private trainer and cardio. Will Keep everyone posted. Good luck on your journey and the gas pains should remedy itself completely after 10 days post op. You may feel gas pains going forward after every sip etc. HW320 Pds SW 311.5 pds CW 300 pds GW 182.5 pds Sleeved on July 26, 2017
  6. You look so amazing! Great work!!! I also have the same superficial goals. I am only 9 days post op but will start training again on my bootcamp/crossfit gym once I get workout clearance to ensure this skin snaps back properly. Wish I was losing faster

For a man your size you should increase the calories to 1,200 - 1,300 if you're working out at least 3x per week and you're guaranteed to see the scale move. HW320 Pds SW 311.5 pds CW 300 pds GW 182.5 pds Sleeved on July 26, 2017

    The Day is almost here!!!

Congrats on receiving your surgery date. As for me - I had no pain except gas pains in my. Ack immediately waking up from surgery. I was also nauseous the first 24 hours. I started walking and sitting in gerrie chair; took my Gas-X strips and attached aromatherapy tabs to my hospital gown to assist with nausea. It went away by the 9pm that evening. I will post picture of aromatherapy tabs I used shortly. SW 320 Pds CW 311.5 pds GW 182.5 pds Sleeved on July 26, 2017

    The Day is almost here!!!

Just wanted to give an update. I started my clear liquid pre-op diet on Monday, July 24th and weighed 320 pounds. Had my sleeve on July 26th and weighed in prior to surgery at 312 pounds and as of right now I waited 7 days to weigh myself from pre-op diet and I am exactly 300 pounds 8 ounces. Literally one protein shake away from going into the 200 land. So excited!!! SW 320 Pds CW 311.5 pds GW 182.5 pds Sleeved on July 26, 2017

    Body Figire

They're right - a good workout strength training regimen will be helpful to mold the body while you're in the accelerated weight loss phase. I personally can't wait for clearance to get back to my boot camp style training after my 6 week checkup. For now - I am allowed moderate/low incline walking on treadmill or outdoors.

    The Day is almost here!!!

Thank you! Day 4 post op is the best so far. I can tolerate water now. So, I am feeling pretty good. Going for a morning walk in the park with my husband in a bit to get the body going. Keep me posted on your recovery in a few weeks. [emoji1487][emoji1487][emoji1487]

    The Day is almost here!!!

Thank you! It's all completed now and i feel great overall. Only discomfort is I can't tolerate water yet. But, I can get my protein sips and Gatorade sips throughout the day to make my fluid intake for the day. Will try to tackle water again on Saturday.
  15. Em-route to the hospital as I type this for my 6:00am EST check-in for VSG! So excited [emoji38] and would just like some additional prayers up for a non-complicated surgery. See you all on the Loser's bench! [emoji1437][emoji1437]

    The day is here!

Also you won't overdo it with the walking actually. I did 3-4 laps on the hospital floor every 2 hours and would get up and sit in my Gerrie chair. So I was mobile

    The day is here!

My doc only allowed me to stay overnight. I was doing extremely well after the first 24 hours. My surgery was scheduled for 7:30am - went to recovery by 10:30am and started walking by 2pm. The biggest concern was the nausea I suffered immediately after surgery but by 11pm it settled nicely. They gave me aromatherapy patches for my gown and nausea sticker to place on my skin. Which helped tremendously. Currently home now and sipping every 10-15 minutes on protein shake @ Gatorade.

    The day is here!

Thank you the well wishes everyone. I am feeling great. No pain felt at the surgical site but I suffered from nausea immediately after surgery and gas back pain all day yesterday. This morning it literally vanished. So I've been walking every hour on hour and feeling great today.

    want to stop regain

The first obstacle you will need to tackle head on would be zoning in on the reasons why you've feel off the bandwagon and start back with the basics. Are you eating proteins first; vegetables second so starch/carbs are last? Did you introduce sugar back into your diet - if so, you will need to eliminate that until you're back on track. Are you drinking empty calories? How is your exercise regimen?

It's an unfortunate side effect with rapid weight loss. The hormonal levels will stabilize but in the mean time try the KY Liquidbeads.

    July Sleevers!!!

Everyone's body snaps back differently just take all the time you need until you're comfortable. I know folks who were fine with 5 days and some who needed a full 3 weeks off. Hopefully you're feeling like yourself again very soon.
