I found this website just prior to my surgery and it helped a lot with the little questions I didn't even know I had! LOL ... It has been a great to have this resource.

I did a lot of research of the options for WLS and pretty much knew from the beginning that I wanted the "sleeve"; however since it was newer, I did look into it... my counselor had a RnY done about 10 years ago and had said that if she could do it all over, she would have the sleeve...SOLD!

The process did take the 3 months as they originally forcasted, almost to the day! (3 days earlier) I knew my insurance would cover it, as 2 other people had it done in my office. I followed all the steps and was "full throttle" from the beginning; doing all my follow ups and setting appointments to make sure it would be done ASAP.

My husband (then fiance) as more nervous than I was, as I was determined (and still am) to have this tool work for me!

The journey has been long, but definately fruitful... I am slowing down on the loss, but am feeling so much better than I was about a year ago, words can't describe! I was a JABBA, totally...big pile of goo on the couch; having RA didn't help...now I can walk without a cane/walker unless we are doing a LOT of walking, then I have to use it still.

Life is good and getting better every day!
