Like many people, I have been overweight most of my life. I've been on every diet, diet pill and treadmill known to man. Do you know how hard it was to find a picture of myself? I am always behind the camera. My before surgery profile picture was taken at my cousin's wedding. My dress was so tight, it was beginning to split, how embarassing. I turned 50 a month later and realized that Lap Band surgery was the best choice for me. It took a little while to get up the nerve, but, I got the ball rolling a couple of months later and bam....my surgery is scheduled for September 29th. It is "scary sweet" as I like to say. I'm ready. So, say goodbye to the girl in the picture and hello to the girl inside her longing to be free.
